Deputy principal, 4MU+1FT Strategic & collaborative practice
Naumai, haere mai. Thank you for your interest in this position at our school.
We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, innovative and collaborative leader, who is a strategic thinker with a vision for the future. The role will include Strategic review (including assessment and building teacher capacity), and developing strong partnerships (including pastoral care/ SENCO); however, the exact details will depend on the strengths of the successful applicant.
This role will require strong interpersonal and communication skills, increasing knowledge of Te Reo me ona Tikanga, effective professional practice and pedagogy, the ability to work collaboratively to build capacity, and a passion for personal growth. Previous leadership experience is preferred.
We are proud to offer learning in both Māori and English medium, and have a passion for and understanding of equity, excellence and belonging. We have worked to build culturally responsive pedagogy that deeply understands the strengths and needs of each child, and honours our partnership under te Tiriti o Waitangi. We enjoy a bit of fun along the way.
We believe we have the most amazing students and staff, and a fabulously supportive community.
We play an active role in the Nelson City Kahui Ako, and work collaboratively across our 12 schools and many early childhood centres.
Thank you for your interest in this position. We will look forward to receiving your application.
